Heidi Morrissey, President of Kitchen Tune-Up Franchise Systems

I am very excited to introduce my first guest, Heidi Morrissey, who comes from Aberdeen, South Dakota. Dave and Cindy Haglund, who are Heidi's parents, started Kitchen Tune-Up, a business that remodels kitchens, in 1988. They attribute the company's success to a combination of luck, great employees, and wonderful franchise owners who genuinely care about making a difference. As Kitchen Tune-Up celebrates its 35th anniversary, it feels like the story is just getting started. Heidi joined the company in 2003 as VP of Marketing and Sales, and she quickly learned the various support roles at the Home Office. She listened to franchise owners for hours. Heidi then became president of Kitchen Tune-Up in 2017, after 13 years in marketing and sales. Her parents now spend their time traveling, enjoying their grandchildren, and relaxing at their lake house near Aberdeen. In late 2020, Home Franchise Concepts® (HFC), one of North America's largest franchisors in the home services sector, purchased Kitchen Tune-Up. HFC is backed by JM Family Enterprises, Inc., a privately held company, and has over 2,300 franchised territories in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, to name a few. Heidi was recently named one of Franchise Dictionary's "50 Women of Wonder" and was just named one of SeoSamba's Top 100 Franchise Influencers in 2023. I hope you will enjoy my podcast.
